The Origin Of  The Brooklyn Saying   "I Go Hard"

The term “Go hard or Go home” is a sports saying, but the street’s saying “I Go Hard” is derived and perpetuated by a legendary Brooklyn underground music label known as Bustback.net or simply Bustback. An album titled “Bustback” was recorded in 1998 and released on Warlock Records. The term “I Go Hard” was then first coined and documented on that album. In 2001, The Free Agentz a group produced and promoted by Gary Williams CEO of Bustback.net released a song titled “I Go Hard”. After its premiere on allhiphop.com, it spawned a nationwide following and worldwide use of the term. Many songs by other major artists were then released using this term and its subject matter.
